Try Outs
Baseball- Monday, March 2nd through Wednesday March 4th from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM here at WGMS.
Softball- Monday, March 2nd through Wednesday March 4th from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM here at WGMS.
Girls/Boys Track- Monday, March 2nd through Wednesday March 4th from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM here at WGMS.
WGMS Sports Participation Packets must be turned into Coach Sexton or Coach Phillips in person only by Thursday, February 26th by 3:30 PM. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this deadline.
Please make sure that you read all Middle School Eligibility requirements and instructions carefully and that packets are filled out completely. Packets are located in the front office and can be downloaded from our athletics page on the WGMS website. If your child’s physical has not expired yet and is on file at the school from last year, you must still fill out a new concussion form to be eligible for try-outs. If your child has already tried out for a team this school year, they must check with Coach Sexton or Coach Phillips to make sure their physical has not expired before the deadline. Eligibility requirements for Spring sports are based on grades and attendance from Semester 1 of this school year that ended on January 23rd, 2026.
What You Need for Try Outs:
- WGMS Sports Participation Packet Completed. (Includes Cover page, GCS Eligibility requirements, Instructions, History form to be filled out by parents and student, Physical Examination form to be filled out by a physician and Concussion Statement form to be filled out by parents and student) Please check student’s eligibility before obtaining a physical
